About Me

Hello and thank you for being here! I am a Brussels based freelance translator with fluency in English, Estonian, Russian, Dutch, French and Spanish. My experience ranges from translating, writing for magazines to transcription as well as ghost writing. After some years of translating technical texts, I returned to my first love - literature. I am particularly interested in introducing works from less translated languages to the English readership, such as my native Estonian. My first literary translation, a short story Stenenbrug by Lisa Hilte, translated from Dutch into Spanish was published by Longitudines Magazine. My translation of Leelo Tungal's Comrade child was long-listed for 2019 John Dryden Literary Translation award. Work that is currently seeking a publisher in English. In 2022 my first translation from Russian was published by East West Literary Forum. I also occasionally work as a reviser for English PEN. Feel free to get in touch with any potential translation or writing projects!
